It all started with an egg...

The Sussex Organic Eggspress was set up by Georgina Burrows, an event producer, during the Covid-19 pandemic.  What started as a small organic egg delivery service to friends and neighbours quickly grew to a thriving business across Lewes, Brighton, Hove and Worthing.

Sharon took on Sussex Eggspress in October 2021 and with the support of husband Simond, have grown it to where it is today. They had previously had a small egg delivery round, supplying the same beautiful organic, free-range eggs to friends, family and work colleagues during the pandemic, alongside Sharons Nursing job.

Two years on and the needs of the community have changed as we all recover from the pandemic. No longer do people need all the produce we supply, delivered each week and the cost of living has had an impact on individual purchasing ability. Cost to deliver soared so with all this in mind we have focused on supplying local businesses with our eggs for retail, that way, we deliver to a few shops and you can still buy our beautiful, large, fresh organic eggs along with other local products direct from our list of retail outlets.

Hampers, gift boxes along with luxury items such as Sussex honey, nut butters, cheese and chutneys continue to grow which is now our prime focus.
